- Working with the procurement department to ensure that production inventories are maintained at their levels. (Coordinate raw materials & inventory with production schedules).- Develop improved processes that make safer use of labour, materials & other resources.- Communicate production management goals to cross functional teams.- Develop strategies to cut costs, improve quality, & customer satisfaction.- Develop solutions, & drive their implementation across functional areas & other supply chain partners- Ensuring proper line utilization is achieved.- Labor resourcing and absence management- Coordinating of general house keeping, GMP and continual improvement activities.• Responsible for stream lining production processes, keep cost down, decrease errors, meet deadlines and supervise employees.• Generation of monthly production plan as per the sales forecast.- Ensuring on a daily basis that all the required production inputs are available to ensure a smooth run of the production department.- Maintain contact with the quality and maintenance section for prompt problem solving.- Works with the managers to execute rules and regulations of the company.- Planning of leave schedule for the production staff. - Produce the agreed shift reports clearly detailing the shift events of interest.- Set clear production targets and ensure that these are measured and achieved.- Employee annual performance reviews.
