Hi, I'm Abdisalan Hussein. A passionate aviation student at OSU with over a decade of excellence in leadership, customer service, and crisis management. My ambition is to translate these skills into a prosperous career as a pilot in a top-tier airline.While I'm currently immersed in my studies at OSU, working towards an Associate's degree in aviation, my educational journey began at Early College Academy, Columbus, where I earned my high school diploma. My diverse educational experiences have equipped me with a unique perspective and unparalleled dedication, which I believe will be my strength in the aviation sector.At Propark Mobility, Hilton Columbus Downtown, I've had the privilege of serving as both a Supervisor and Lead Supervisor. Here, I've honed my ability to lead teams, manage operations, and ensure impeccable customer service at Ohio's largest hotel property. I manage and oversee 65+ employees, handle day-to-day operations, and serve as a bridge between the supervisors, employees, and upper management. Before this, I was entrusted with the role of Shift Supervisor at Allied Universal, Vern Riffe state office center. This position refined my skills in security, surveillance, and staff coordination, supervising over 10 employees per shift.I also dedicated my time to the community, volunteering at Al-rahma Community Center. I've created service opportunities, planned community events, and helped foster a sense of unity and support within our community. My previous experience as an Aide at Optima Home Health further taught me compassion, attention to detail, and the importance of both physical and emotional support.I have a rich multicultural background that aids in understanding and connecting with diverse groups. My certifications, including CPR, and my proficiency in customer focus & orientation, enhance my ability to handle situations with sensitivity and care.In essence, I'm more than just an aviation student. My varied experiences, from healthcare to hospitality to security, have molded me into a resourceful, committed, and versatile individual.
