RASA is an innovative project that strives to develop a cost-effective and highly versatile humanoid robot platform for social purposes. Its primary objective is to teach Persian Sign Language (PSL) to children with hearing disabilities. With a total of 32 degrees of freedom (DOF), RASA has thirteen DOF in each arm, including seven in its active fingers, one in the wrist, one for forearm rotation, one in the elbow, and three for each shoulder joint. This advanced robotic system is equipped with dexterous hand-arm systems, enabling it to perform sign language and facilitate effective communication with deaf children.As a PCB Designer at RASA, I played a significant role in the development of this cutting-edge technology by designing several essential PCB boards required for the robot's functioning. I designed a range of PCB boards, including a battery charger, a board to control the robot's fingers, a board to control its arms and manage the robot's upper body, a board to control the robot's base and waist, and others.My experience at RASA was an excellent opportunity for me to work on a groundbreaking project that has the potential to make a real difference in the lives of deaf children. It was an honor to be part of a team working towards improving the education and communication abilities of children with hearing disabilities.

As a JavaScript Developer on a startup team, I developed multiple Android and iOS applications using our team's powerful cross-platform framework, FrameworkJS. Our integration with CloadIO, which is a could service developed by our team, provided features such as Real-Time Updates, Remote Code Execution, and High Security, resulting in significant time and cost savings for our clients. In this role, I have had the opportunity to gain experience in project management, algorithm design, data structure, and development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

During my master's program, I had the opportunity to work on a team that created a mobile social robot designed to provide educational and therapeutic support to children with cancer based on their interests and needs. Since cancer treatment can cause emotional distress, which can reduce the efficiency of medications, we believed that using social robots to interact with children with cancer in a hospital environment could decrease this distress, thereby improving the effectiveness of their treatment.My primary focus was on human-robot interaction with sound source localization. I developed algorithms that allowed the robot to locate the sound source and respond appropriately to the user. Additionally, I collaborated on the software development of the robot using ROS, working on low-level to high-level control modules to operate the robot. This provided me with extensive experience in robot programming and working with complex systems. I also managed the robot's electronics, including selecting appropriate components, microcontrollers, and the main computer, and designing the overall system architecture. Furthermore, I designed several PCB boards for the robot, including a board to manage battery charging.We tested the robot in three hospitals, interacting with a total of 50 children. I am excited about the potential impact that Arash could have on children with cancer, with one memorable moment being a mother's tears of joy at her child's happiness as he emerged from his hospital room after months to interact with the robot. Being part of this project has given me a passion for using robotics and technology to improve human lives, and I am eager to apply the skills and knowledge I gained to future roles or projects.
