As the Director General of Association Senegalaise de Normalisation (ASN), I oversee the standardization activities and conformity assessment in Senegal, covering various fields such as food safety, environment protection, water and sanitation, health, sustainable development, chemical and petroleum products. With more than 10 years of experience in the field of quality infrastructure, I am passionate about enhancing the competitiveness and innovation of the national economy through the development and implementation of performance standards and conformity assessment systems.I am also an IRCA QMS Lead Auditor, a trainer and a lecturer in quality management systems and standardization, and a member of several regional and international standardization organizations. I’m currently Vice Chair of ISO/DEVCO the ISO committee on Developing Countries related issues. I have contributed to the harmonization and adoption of standards at the ECOWAS, ARSO, and ISO levels, and supported the quality culture promotion throughout the world. I am committed to advancing the quality culture and awareness in Senegal and beyond, and to fostering the collaboration and exchange of best practices among the quality infrastructure stakeholders.
