Police Officer
CurrentI began my career in 2013 with the Ottawa Police Service as a patrol officer working East District Patrol. Simply put, my primary duties were to respond to calls for service, public safety, and reporting.In 2018, I undertook a temporary assignment in the Outreach Recruitment team where I actively engaged with the public to seek potential candidates to recruit as sworn officers to serve the public. I managed the recruitment team social media Twitter profile and assisted on Instagram platform. I travelled to different colleges and universities to recruit candidates and provide mentorship to applicants. I developed a candidate pool of diverse candidates, mentored them, and recruited them to the Ottawa Police Service where they're active members of this organization. In 2019, I joined the Neighborhood Resource Team working in west district specializing in crime prevention and community safety. I engaged with several stakeholders to address community concerns and promote safety and security in my areas of responsibility.
