Management Accountant to two divisions: Behaviour Change and Freight & Fleet. The two divisions are within Surface transport, Transport for London (TfL).Behaviour Change (BC) commissions & deliver programmes designed to influence the transport behaviour of both individuals & businesses operating in London.Freight & Fleet (F&F) division commissions behavioural changes programme which improves the safety, efficiency, compliance, less collisions particularly between cyclists & trucks; less harmful emissions and congestion caused by freight vehicles.• Prepared periodic management accounts to deliver financial information to business managers, including BC c£8 million with 36 FTE’s, and F&F c£7 million with 30 FTE’s.• Collected accurate financial information through collaborating with project managers that ensured quarterly forecasting and loading the forecast into SEM. • Completion of periodic and annual accounts within the deadline for both BC and F&F. • Engaged with the highly skilled operational teams to resolve financial issues to ensure value for money and effective use of resources.• Submitted financial management reports in both BC and F&F periodic programme boards, resulting in identifying, as well as mitigating financial pressures and opportunities.• Developed appropriate cost saving recommendations for respective areas through interacting with budget holders that resulted in reducing costs and increasing business profits.• Streamlined the process of financial risk assessment programmes through coordinating with the cost centre managers with an aim to minimise the impact of risk in conjunction with the TfL governance.• Delivered detailed commentary and reporting of pressures and business opportunities through drafting management reports packs for departmental heads and the senior accountant.
