Some engagements are highlighted below.· Implements specified maintenance programs and procedures in scheduling and embarking on preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical assets for maximum availability, utilization and reliability.. Electricity generation from Gas Turbine Generators up 320 MW· Provides support to asset owners to carry out proactive planning for equipment overhaul and obsolescence management, providing input to review and update equipment maintenance procedures and strategies.· Planning and executing overhauls of major equipment during major shutdowns and turnaround events. Such equipment includes transformers, generators, synchronous motors, etc.· Participates in audit activities of the plant maintenance strategies for ex equipment, plant earthing, etc.· Supervises personnel to carry out preventative maintenance on HV and LV Electric Motors,Transformers, Emergency diesel generators, UPS and Batteries, Heaters, Heat tracing systems, Variable Speed Drive systems, Earthing systems, etc.· Procurement of spares from requisition to delivery to ensure continuous operation of the trains.· Senior Authorized Electrical Person (SAEP) – Preparation of switching programmes and execution of switching for LV and HV isolations.· LV and HV Switchgears installation, maintenance and troubleshooting (Eaton Holec, Switchgear and Instrumentation, GE, ABB, etc.).· Electrical protection systems testing, inspection and troubleshooting.· Participates in conducting safety critical maintenance deferrals to ensure facility maintenance standards is maintained.· Mentoring and development of younger Technicians.
