Plumber
Current> Directs work, provides technical assistance and performs inspections of work performed by detainee maintenance staff.> Perform project work under the guidance of shop supervisors and/or leads.> May occasionally perform mechanical work involving repair and maintenance of facility machinery, motors and vehicles.> Performs plumbing, piping, boiler repairs, installation of washbasins and toilet facilities, and any other work pertaining to facility plumbing/boiler systems.> Undertake survey inspections including in confined spaces and at height recording all work and completing associated registers/logs.> Surveys assigned jobs and ensures that sufficient and proper materials and tools are on hand to complete each work.> Assists in maintaining the security of assigned detainees.> To work with outside contractors as necessary to assist them in performing maintenance or construction jobs.> To maintain good working relationships with your colleagues and all other departments.> To operate life safety systems, and to inspect and perform preventative maintenance on the Hotel’s life safety systems.> Assist with the evacuation of guests and staff in the event of elevator breakdown, and to report and record breakdowns and elevator systems failure immediately.> To provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.> Ensure that all heating and climate control systems are functioning and is kept in good working order.> Located and marked the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels, and cuts openings.
