Accountabilities:• Studying and validating requirements of the project as given in the Project Information system and raise any questions or requests for clarification purposes as necessary.• Designing buildings and structures as per building codes, design standards, specifications and procedures adopted by engineering practice.• Preparing design package or estimates according to project requirements.• Reporting to Group In-Charge for special and non-standard inventory items, non-standard fabrication requirements, non-standard shipping requirements and any difficulties that might encounter.• Working closely with the design checker and the Drafting Checker to ensure that work is error-free.• Answering questions and providing clarification as arose on designs or estimates.• Reviewing evaluating and interpreting structural engineering requirements in light of standard parts usage and minimum in-place cost.• Providing solutions to design problems that will improve the design and drafting efficiency.• Responsible for the structural integrity of the designs.• Ensures that all designs maximize standard parts usage and are in accordance with good engineering practices.• Monitoring the revision of all documents issued by engineering dept. for using on the project.• Checking the design package and estimate prepared by another design engineer when assigned.• Providing site solutions for site errors and claims.• Coordination with Client & Contractors.

Accountabilities:• Studying architectural drawings and proposing an estimation and structural drawing which includes layouts for slabs, beams, columns, stairs and foundations.• Approved structure layouts to be designed based on Indian standards. • Preparation of detailed execution layouts for site based on structure design. • Site visit for cross verification of executed work.• Preparation of take-off quantity from drawings.
