Abdul Basid is a permanent and active lecturer at Universitas Negeri Malang Indonesia, serving as an Associate professor in the Arabic Language Education Programme. He obtained his Doctorate from the Tafsir and Qur’anic Sciences Programme at the University of the Holy Qur'an and Islamic Sciences, Sudan, in 2020, as well as his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Tafsir Hadis from the State Islamic Institute Sunan Ampel Surabaya, Indonesia, in 2013 and 2010 respectively. Abdul Basid’s research encompasses a wide range of topics, including the development of halal kitchen standards, the integration of virtual reality technology in worship, and tafsir studies relevant to the social and religious context in Indonesia.
