CurrentCreating a secure and law-abiding workplace for employees in the maritime sector is my top priority as an HSE Supervisor at RAK Ports. Creating and implementing HSE plans, policies, and objectives that enhance operational effectiveness and support our corporate objectives is my responsibility on the HSE team.Developing and carrying out HSE programs that complement RAK Ports' overarching goal.Risk management involves determining and reducing the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) risks connected to port operations, including thorough emergency response planning. It also entails evaluating risk assessments of the work done by agencies, contractors, and third parties.Development of Safety Culture: Encouraging active participation in HSE initiatives, particularly in a comprehensive survey of HSE culture conducted by a third-party consultant called INGENIUM, based in the USA and Australia, and fostering a proactive safety culture through interactions with management, site teams, and contractors.Leading incident investigations and root cause analyses in port accidents, classifying them according to severity, and putting suggested, practical corrective measures into action are all part of incident management.Due to our zero-tolerance policy for safety violations, every person entering RAK Ports is required to attend an HSE induction. Consequently, we conduct two induction sessions daily, to which a sizable number of visitors and outside parties attend.creating and implementing employee HSE training programs that improve awareness and compliance across the board for the organization.Leading HSE campaigns based on operational safety. The HSE Campaign is carried out across all departments at Port, including campaign planning, poster creation, lecture delivery, and awareness raising.Providing workers, contractors, agencies, and other parties with work permits, including those for hot work, cold work, diving, electrical work, work at heights, and excavation.
