• Responsible to lead and co-ordinate activities of all Engineering departments including Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance, Services, ETP & Recycling, Powerhouse & Chillers, R.O. Plant, Boilers, Compressors, Sustainability and Projects of all 8 Units in Karachi.• Report directly to CEO of Organization, associate in every strategic decision making & execution of all engineering aspects.• Implement policies, SOPs and programs to meet goals, and coordinate all departmental activities .• Ensure that every machine in all 8 units including those for production, ETP, and utilities are operating efficiently and effectively in accordance with both the specifications of its design and the supplier's agreement.• Determine and assess the project's resources as well as the obligations under the contract. Technical vetting and project feasibility report evaluation. Evaluate the projects' Capex, Opex, ROI, and payback.• Execute several Sustainability and Energy conservation projects. Established cost-cutting initiatives such as energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, waste management, and resource conservation.• Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and services of a 3 MW KE power grid, 6.5 MW Gensets (gas and diesel) and 632 KW solar grid.• Look after all the In-house fabrication projects for the Stitching and Processing Dept., such as plumbing, piping, and structure fabrication.• Ensure the efficient operation of complete towel Processing machines, keep an eye on all types of maintenance, troubleshooting of various equipment in the mechanical and electrical aspects, spare parts management, machine selection, and utility provision.• Conducting internal and external Energy Audit of plants on regular basis• Maintain and monitor meetings of Auditors and Byers for electrical standards (IEC/NFPA/International Standards as per given design) and results achieved by factory.• Formulate the concept of 3R and 5S Technology in all process.

Karachi

• Responsible for 4 MW capacity Power generation plants, Electric Chillers 180 USRT, Water Generation plant 0f 500,000GPD Air Generation of 40m3/min Capacity, Steam Generation plant of 26tons, Civil Engineering & All On-going Projects.• Lead team to ensure efficiency, Analysis of work progress, operational status reports of complete utilities system & Report directly to CEO.• Conducting Internal & External Energy Audits of plants on monthly basis to determine the energy losses & steps.• Ensuring and update the overhauling & service agreement of Generators & Compressors on yearly basis. Preparing of fiscal budget documents of all power houses & Utilities.• To maintain all critical spare parts inventory of all power production equipment.• Identify & evaluate potential resources for the project, in relation with the person, procurement, review contractual requirements. Technical vetting & evaluate project feasibility reports• Develop Project Schedule for Each Project featuring Resources, Timelines also Constraints and Tracking. Taskw.r.t Budgeting Phase, along with formulation of terms & condition.• Control costs, minimize expenditure and report any deviation to project budget, Monitor progress, optimize schedule, develop and implement strict project safety procedures.

Summary: Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.• Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the Denim industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.In this regard for acheiving the goal of minimum Maintenance time , Downtime and Energy waste using the tool of Sig Sigma TPM ( Total Productive Maintenance) and Generate an comprehensive TPM report after completion of every maintenance.• Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary• Maintains and Orginize repairs maintenance shop and Maintenance Workshop.• Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems• Communicates regularly with all maintenance incharges , Engineers , Supervisors and technicians.• Monitors operation of plant equipment and system• Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime.• Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating cost• Communicates directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process area• Take part in Installation, Erection & commissioning of new machineries at new extension (kassim 2).In this regard carryout foreign tours to Europe and Asia for Inspection • Dealing with local & foreign supplier, mechanical contractors & inspectors.• Giving technical support to Mechanical Engineers, Utility Engineer and maintenance team• Manage the utility department of plant including Boilers and CompressorsENERGY AUDIT AND ENERGY CONSERVATION PROJECTSTook part in the Energy Audit and Energy Conservation projects of Kassim Denim.
