Key responsibilities -Condition monitoring of protective relays and other components.-Analysing network performance and relay coordination by consulting with reporting engineer.-Execute In-site modifications and testing on 6.6 kV,11kV and 33kV network during outages.-Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and activities for high voltage electrical components CB’s, BCU’s, BMP’s CT’s, VT’s-Programming and reviewing settings configurations of protective relays such… Show more Key responsibilities -Condition monitoring of protective relays and other components.-Analysing network performance and relay coordination by consulting with reporting engineer.-Execute In-site modifications and testing on 6.6 kV,11kV and 33kV network during outages.-Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and activities for high voltage electrical components CB’s, BCU’s, BMP’s CT’s, VT’s-Programming and reviewing settings configurations of protective relays such as Micom, ABB,Siemens, Reyrolle, Alstom, and SEL.Extracting events and fault records from above mentioned numerical relays .-Investigate power system interruptions incidents and operation failures of protection schemes-Troubleshooting/investigate different types of defects related to the electrical network.-Optimisation inventory of spares at stores.-Testing of the instruments and equipment used in the maintenance and commissioning activities.-In-house project , modification of Arc protection and PWP and testing etc.-Different type of NOD components and scheme verification test, drawing mark up-Routine Maintenance ( RCM) - GEC Alstom, ABB, Reyrolle Argus, Siemens Siprotec etc., numerical and electromechanical relays (fuji and Mitsubishi etc.) for feeders, capacitor bank,bus sections and transformer-Bus bar Arc protection and PWP testing during outages etc.-Online relay testing and Protection Setting Change /Testing And during outage as well-In house energy meter installation and replacements including Inspection of Standard electro-mechanical/digital and IMS, AMI energy meter installation with contractor.-Commissioning of different type of relays.-Testing of switchgear equipment such as current transformer , voltage transformer and circuit breakers during commissioning of 33/11kv substations.-Testing various protection schemes -Commissioning of control panels for power transformer and feeder HT/LT breakers and calibration of transducers.
