Senior Network Engineer

Current

Liverpool Street, London, Uk

• In my venture in Cognizant, I started with documenting the NRT (National Rail) entire NTFG (Norton Folgate) lab consisting of Cisco ASR 9922, 9910, 920 and 903 including Infinera Transmission gluing the 3 different networks. The protocols were BGP, ISIS and OSPF with IP MPLS and many other technologies replicating the NRT Operational Network.• Following on I did some IOT mini-Project for COLT Telecoms water level sensor.• Thereon I landed on the long term much hyped SolarWinds Project over 2.5 years since 2021. SolarWinds is an Enterprise grade Network and System Monitoring application solution. I conceived the project from inception until it was operational. Conception, Implementation, Documentation and Handover. Its custom implementation was complex to NRT’s DC and Network. During the process Edenborough Lab was set up as a testbed now serving other as test platform for other users.• Currently Cognizant devised another team which I am a member of to test the NRT’s Tier 1 – Tier 5 Network from The Quadrant Milton Keynes Office. Testing devised of various scenarios ranging from user access, device access and network device Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (or known as the triple A or AAA 802.1x) using ISE and DNAC traversing over the WAN. Some of the tests are rigorous and complex to somewhat challenging. The project can be summarized as systems working as expected from user and device point of view and if not then it is raised as a defect for Cisco Engineers and NRT to address the issue for a possible solution and possible retest. • Tested the NRT Tier1 to Teir5 Network in Milton Keynes HQ through Cisco DNA and Cisco ISE.
