I developed and taught more than 25 different tertiary subjects/units in the following areas at Monash University, Central Queensland University, Macquarie University, Western Sydney University in Australia, and at Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) and IUT Bangladesh since 1989: Machine Design;Manufacturing Engineering; Machine Tools and Cutting Tools;Mechatronics Engineering;Industrial Automation;Bulk Materials Handling, My research interests::(A) Machining of super alloys, high-speed metal machining: Optimal machining regime development for Ti-alloys and Cobalt and Nickel base alloys.(B) Machine Tools Design and Dynamics: high speed-spindle design, scattered energy of vibration of high speed spindles, vibration-based fatigue of high-speed spindles(C) Intelligent robotic grasping and object recognition, applicable for domestic mobile robots and automated production systems (opto-tactile sensors for surface recognition, slip detection in robotic grasping and safe manipulation, adequate grasping force estimation by scattered energy method).My achievement:In Design and Manufacturing -Theory on Scattered Energy of Vibrations - a third parameter for vibration assessment.Hypothesis on life prediction of high-speed spindles (of machine tools) at the design stage using the Scattered Energy of Vibration method.In Mechatronics -Philosophy of Mechatronics Engineering course design.An innovative model of incipient slip detection in robotic grasping using Scattered Energy of Vibration method. An opto-tactile sensor for object recognition based on surface texture.
