Working within IT Operations serving as the hub for support for IT services running within the organization. Responsible for isolating, diagnosing and restoring service for most IT (services, infrastructure, and applications) interruptions, escalating to higher levels of support where needed. Other responsibilities include security administration, storage management and job scheduling management. Deploying the release of new technologies as well as installs, configures, maintenance, and perform system integration testing of PC/server operating systems, related utilities, and hardware. Diagnose server problems as reported by users, support Web access and electronic messaging services and maintain a secure systems environment. I also provide new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth, install new servers and desktops, and maintain the server infrastructure. Working on one or more projects as a project team member following defined procedures to monitor systems and resolve problems. Supporting multiple systems, applications, or databases of low to medium with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility. Maintain and Support relationship with business stakeholders and IT organization as directed. Create and implement Requests for Change (RFC) and adheres to all documented change management processes. Working with system engineers to understand technical requirements and participate in and contribute to technical designs providing impacts to existing systems. Technical and Operational support for Offices and Test Centre sites across the EMEA markets. Support Consisting of on-site maintenance and remote access, using remote protocols and a variety of remote utilities and applications like VMware, Dameware, UltraVNC, Window Remote Desktop and Terminal Services Client. I also project managed various Hardware and Software rollouts, which required a great deal of responsibility especially Sensitive Examination Data. I travelled to different sites across EMEA. The rollouts were based on a very strict schedule, as part of the DSA requirements the Test Centres site were allocated different times to shut down for the upgrades to take place if deadlines were breached and SLA’s had been triggered there were heavy penalties to pay as each site had to be upgraded and configured based on Region, Site Type (Type of testing DSA, MIB, CITB, ETS etc), Network layout and Size (Number of testing stations). My most recent rollout I was responsible for three regions, Midlands, Wales and Western. I leaded two Engineers from Malaysia who were assigned to each region. The initial rollout was in recognition of the new Hazard Perception Test implemented by the D.S.A. During the rollout I was also in charge with the DSA account manager to train all our IHTTC sites.These sites consisted from MOD, Police, Fire Services and general driver training companies. I was also responsible for Asset Management for the EMEA I.T division.I maintained Hardware vendor contracts, equipment diagnosis and troubleshooting, fault logging, asset tracking and decommissioning of obsolete assets.
