The responsibilities included:- Project Implementation: Successful project implementation within budgeted cost in stipulated time frame.- Project Execution & Monitoring: Construction, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the plant.- Review and approval of design and documents: The review of plant’s design and approval including necessary amendments with respect to local conditions and to meet the prevailing rules and regulations of various government control agencies like Boiler Inspectorate, Electrical Inspectorate and Department of Explosives and WPPO etc.- Dealing with owners’ consultants, lenders’ consultants as well as Independent Engineer jointly inducted by owners, lenders and the utility WAPDA.- Liaison and coordination with regulatory bodies like WAPDA Power Privatization Organization (WPPO), Power Privatization and Infrastructure Board (PPIB), Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Pakistan Railways (PR) etc. for decanting facilities of fuel.- Execution of various contracts signed by the company with plant and machinery suppliers, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Japan, EPC Contractor Siemens Pakistan and other vendors and suppliers. - Building and development of JPGL’s own organization for operation and maintenance of the plant according to prudent utility practice including recruitment of manpower to ensure smooth and trouble-free running of the plant.

• Projects Accomplished:- As Project Manager, constructed 50MW Diesel Power Plant on turnkey basis at Saindak Copper and Gold Mines – 1992 to 1995.- As Project Manager, carried out electrical works of Pump House of 25 MGD for Greater Karachi Bulk Water Supply Scheme Phase IV of KWSB – 1991-1992- As Project Manager, executed Electric Power System Integration project for doubling the capacity of Engro Chemical Pakistan Fertilizer Plant at Dharki – 1990 to1991.- As Project Engineer, carried out electrification for capacity expansion of General Tire and Rubber Company of Pakistan Ltd., Karachi – 1985.- As Project Engineer, implemented the project of electrification of Berths 1-4 Port Muhammad Bin Qasim – 1981 to 1982.- As Project Engineer, involved in the construction of various 132/11 KV Grid Stations for Karachi Electric Supply Corporation Ltd.- As Project Engineer, executed construction of a number of small and medium size projects in Pakistan Steel.
