Assisted students in understanding complex concepts in computer programming and linear algebra. Worked with students to develop academic confidence and construct robust problem solving techniques.

Developed a novel damage location algorithm that has the added functionality of locating damage on complex, composite structures. Published a conference paper that disseminated the thought process and technique used to develop said location algorithm. Obtained hands on lab experience through taking apart and understanding various data acquisition units. This included understanding how each unit works fundamentally and what the role of each component is. Filed a patent for a novel power harvesting mechanism intended to provide power to remote, wireless damage location sensors. On top of this, was able to take part in two research projects with partners that included various universities and companies in the UK. Part of these projects took place in meeting rooms, understanding each partners' roles, objectives and the numerous trials they faced. Presenting quarterly progress reports that described targets met, testing results, concepts conceived and financial records was also a large part of the project workloads. Fatigue and damage tolerance work was also done on various A350 - 1000 components. A vast majority of this work included static and fatigue analysis, with the motivation of certification and weight saving. Conducted analysis on data obtained from various engineering programs using excel. Lastly, gained experience writing and reviewing technical stress dossiers with a focus on concisely conveying analysis processes.

Tutor students in High School level mathematics, physics and calculus in order to develop academic confidence

During the summer of 2015, an opportunity to work in a Fluid Dynamics research lab was pursued. The two key projects involved in the position were: - Creating an optimized smoke wire visualization setup in order to illuminate a fluid flow and understand the various phenomena occurring in that flow- Assisting in setting up a system that used Vortex Induced Vibrations (VIV) to harvest energy from flowing water and dampen pipeline vibrationsGaining fluency in the relevant fluid dynamics principles required extracting important pieces of information from a large number of research papers and textbooks. While there was a significant theoretical portion to the position, it also involved the ability to apply these theoretical concepts to experimental setups. This required an understanding of basic manufacturing and assembly principles, and provided hands on, end to end design experience.
