BARBERING CAREERI have worked as a barber since the age of 16 where I was trained hard to become very experienced.One key skill I had mastered was customer satisfaction And this was through being consistent in my craft and taking on feedback from senior barbers around me and using it to motivate myself to ensure I’m executing a clients request . Leadership skills is another skill I’ve managed to execute and this was through me having my own apprentice who would shadow the steps for a haircut. I’d set out tasks for my apprentice where I’d explain what he can do out of work hours to really ensure he can gain knowledge such as watching tutorials and also learning the theoretical side of barbering such as clipper maintenance, understanding a clients skin, sanitation and how to interact with clients to build rapport Organisation is major skill I picked up and this was through trial and error during busy periods such as weekends it would be hard to keep track of clients and prevent a waiting time by providing a booking platform where they are able to book a service at a convenient time tailored to them.METRO BANK
