I joined the multi-million KAFD project during the construction completion of the stage two works to directly advise the Vice President on all aspects of commercial risk management for legacy projects. I consider challenging and bespoke contract conditions, as well as the complex nature of many uncompleted civil and MEP projects, including ELV system works for a remeasurement project. I prepare and complete all the commercial close out documentation, including final accounts. My key contributions:• Resolved previously unsolved issues and returned full project control to rival predecessors.• Identified budget over runs and commercial close out problems by engaging all parties.• Took ownership of QS and commercials for the entire contract leading 25+ subcontractors.• Produced payment certifications, variation accounts, final accounts, scope issues, and more.• Entrusted to submit and coordinate variations, statements at completion and final accounts.• Motivated, developed and led a team of over 10 Quantity Surveyors and daily activities.

As part of the multi-million Phoenix Tower commercial project, I spearheaded the commercial direction of the company and all aspects of lifecycle project management, cost control and quantity surveying. I adhered to global regulatory compliance in preparing and executing projects, defining strategies and driving operational excellence. I engaged with business development teams to input into bid preparation and new project proposals to increase revenue, achieve profit objectives, maintain budgets and assure high-quality. I strategically advised client on allocating budgets, contract award and cost reporting, as well as procurement tactics cost benefits and value engineering. I advanced projects by communicating effectively with stakeholder management, project delivery team, architects, designers, various MEP contractors, authorities and tenants. I utilized AutoCAD and IS 100 SP27 to produce take-off drawings. My key contributions:• Steered project from concept to handover to construct a 1000sqm commercial building.• Selected the architect and design consultants, and awarded civil and MEP contracts.• Procured cost-effective works packages and engaged authorities to go live.

As an advisor to the COO and GM, I consulted on commercial risk management for a multi-million project at The Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences (The Palm Dubai). I delivered quantity surveying consultancy services and advice on securing contracts and assets for construction. I collated all variations and notices to quickly progress any additional payment claims or EoT requests, in compliance with contracts and/or subcontract agreements. I engaged with the client on project bottlenecks and cost impacts to timely source alternative loss mitigation solutions, prevent delays and resolve problems. I attended senior level management meetings as a company representative to negotiate agreements with the cost consultancy team for all variations submitted. I proactively identified and discussed disputes as host of internal commercial discussions with the on-site Project Director. I primarily analysed contracts for numerous multi-million projects from tender to completion to advise on commercial risk management at Chief Commercial Officer and Operations Director level. I formulated strategic commercial plans for each contract, monitored and tracked costs, drove operational excellence, consolidations and risk reviews. I implemented the strategic business plan and applied periodic updates to meet ever-changing contract demands. I verified claims submitted by primary contractors and subcontractors by collating and investigating evidence in liaison with individual project managers. I navigated through the tender and commercial management process to select cost-effective subcontractors. I tracked project progress against contract requirements, involving cost reporting, payment validation and claims administration, requiring a strategic win-win approach to negotiations. I primarily advised the VP on contractual and commercial risks from the tender stage through to final completion, overseeing the entire process and cash management, liaising with clients and main contractor, subcontractor and suppliers. I led over 15 quantity surveyors and planned individual commercial activities, requiring meticulous cost control, reviews, consolidations, periodic update, and business plan implementation. I also took ownership of monthly reviews, conflict resolution, risk assessments, tender submissions, contract documentation and financial data capture.
