 To Raise inquiries to the foreign suppliers after getting approval from the Directors on the Purchase Requisitions. Specification verification of the quoted items, from the concerned maintenance department in the factory. Receipt of verified quotation / offers and preparation of Comparative statements and get them approved from the concerned Director. To issue the Foreign Purchase Order. To arrange advance payments through TT. Bank nomination from the account department for issuance of LCs. To establish the LCs and follow up with the banks. Follow up for the shipment status for intimate arrival of the consignment at factory. Complaints / Claims to the manufacturer incase of defaulted supplies. Liaison up with the clearing agent for Clearance of the consignments. Transportation of Imported goods from Karachi to Lahore. Claims to Transporter and Insurance Company, incase of any mishap during transportation / forwarding. Planning of the regular items to be imported i.e., Machinery, Spare Parts, Ball Clay TA, Calcined Alumina, Super Defloculant, Metal Caps, Transparent Frits, Zirconium Silicate. Receipt of Samples of various items and send them to factory for there testing and accordingly to inform the supplier for the reports of the samples. Preparation of various Stock Sheets for review and new order placement.

1 Preparation of import LC’s documents and follow up copy of LC’s with banks.2 Follow up of shipments and amendments if any.3 Follow up of vessel arrival non negotiable documents from supplier and retirement of original documents from bank after negotiation of USD rate.4 Written correspondence with Supplier, Banks, Shipping co, Clearing agent, Insurance co and other Parties.5 Receive & check Duty and Taxes amount from agent for import shipments.6 Checking of all import bills against each LC’s and prepare costing sheet and forward it to accounts department.7 Maintain proper record of all import docs so that we can find any docs within minutes.8 Maintain SRO 1065 re export register, PDC release from customs.9 Maintain DTRE and DTRE register.10 Filling of Sales tax refund claim on monthly basis.11 Preparation and submission of Rebate cases @ 3% Duty Drawback to SBP.12 ERF Part 1 Loan from SBP through Commercial Banks.

 Follow up of all Import LC’s and import consignments till material received at factory premises. Maintain stock register of imported items. Updated imported stock register on daily basis. Prepare consumption sheet and submitted it to customs department under SRO 456(1)2004. Updated daily import intransit sheet. Visit factory situated at 17 KM Sheikhupura road for Monthly stock taking. Checking of insurance, Clearing agents and transporter bills.
