* Responsible for the day-to-day management of in-house network used by over 300 users daily. • Identification and prioritization of IT needs in each financial year• Specification, ordering and installation of equipment and software.• Maintenance and repairs to systems at all levels• Maintenance of network infrastructure and architecture• Maintenance of network software systems• Control over software licensing• Data and network security• Control over and maintenance of user accounts• Maintenance of 24-hour email and internet accessSetting up and maintenance of wireless and wired Local Area Network and Wide Area Network Connection • Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades • Securing network system by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access;• Technical support for people using the network and training of staff on new systems• Installing new software and hardware (servers, printers, computer work stations etc)• Deployment and Monitoring of thin client technology from server• Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords• Repairs and maintenance of computers systems in all the class rooms and offices • Overseeing security of all systems, especially the internet, and installing antivirus protection• Securing of the Network and managing of the Internet Bandwidth • Configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Devices, sure as Cisco Router, Switches and firewall• Planning future improvements, suggesting IT solutions to business problems• Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information and managing projects• Remote support of on-site engineers and end users/customers during and after installation;• Training of people on how to configure and troubleshoot cisco devices (Router and Switches )
