I am an experienced legal practitioner with demonstrable track record in dispute resolution, business/ start up advisory and contract negotiation. I am also an intellectual property, data protection and AI/Technology law enthusiast.I have practical and demonstrable experience in advising tech start-ups/fin-techs on project financing and legal due diligence, intellectual property audit, management and transfer of IP Assets as well as registration of transfers. My experience in the Intellectual Property space also includes oppositions to registration of conflicting IP rights and dispute resolution services (trial and appellate). I also hold several certifications on Intellectual Property and Data Protection and Privacy from World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the University of Derby respectively, amongst others as well as Certifications on Artificial Intelligence and its intersection with Law.I have served as company secretary and legal adviser to a number of innotion driven companies (both indigenous and foreign owned) in Nigeria and South Africa where I have advised on contracts with multi-nationals.In 2018, I joined the law firm of Greenfields (Solicitors and Advocates) as an Associate with a core litigation portfolio. As an associate in the litigation department, I had the opportunity of prosecuting and defending the interests of a number of financial institutions (including but not limited to all of the top 5 banks in Nigeria) and other corporate entities, especially with regards to contractual disputes and mortgages and securities. As a litigation expert, I have conducted proceedings at every level of the Judicial structure of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and recorded landmark victories.In 2019 I joined Compos Mentis Legal Practitioners as a senior Associate. Due to my contributions and in recognition of my outstanding work ethic, an eye for detail and passion for advising on and resolving disputes related to Intellectual Property and Technology transfer, I was promoted to Head of The Intellectual Property Department of the firm. This has given me the opportunity to advise on several high profile Intellectual Property transfer agreements, audit of the IP portfolio of several corporate entities and individuals as well as registration and monitoring of IP rights.
