I am Mohamed Basith Rafeekin, a talented photographer, visual storyteller, and social media specialist based in Sri Lanka. My passion lies in capturing travel and landscape photography, and I have extensive experience working in various roles related to visual content creation and storytelling.Currently, I am working as the Head of Performance Marketing and Head of Media and StoryLab at DreamSpace Academy. In this role, I help sustainable companies and social impact organizations showcase their work and engage with their communities through authentic storytelling. Additionally, I am a co-founder of several media networks, including VisAct LK - VisualAction Sri Lanka, Reflecting Voices, i REACT, and Think Before Share. These networks focus on creating public interest content such as documentaries, photojournalism, investigative journalism, and blogging.I am a certified trainer in photography and visual communication, storytelling, and story mapping. I also consult on the Social Media Moderation Module for Search for Common Ground Sri Lanka and have been a trained trainer on media and information literacy. I completed my certificate in Effective Use of Social Media from AttractiveMedia in Munich, Germany, and have a diploma in Visual Content Making.Throughout my career, I have received several awards and accomplishments for my work. I was an Ambassador for United Creatives in 2021, a finalist for the Social Media Campaign Against Hate Speech in 2021, and a winner of the Picture Your Value Award in 2020. I also won the Gold Award for Visual Content Makers Sri Lanka in 2020, which was organized by the Skills for Inclusive Growth, Australian Aid, in Sri Lanka.My expertise lies in visual content creation, storytelling, and social media marketing.
