As a climate change activist, advocate, and researcher, I bring over 14 years of professional experience in program and project management. I have managed hundreds of projects with millions of dollars in funding from various donors. My extensive local knowledge and familiarity with diverse cultures across Afghanistan stem from my visits to all 34 provinces.I am a climate change researcher with a solid background and currently serve as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EPTDO, a climate change-focused organization. Previously, I worked with national and international organizations, including the UN, NEPA, DABS, ICRC, USAID, GIZ-IS, UNDP, and others.I possess extensive knowledge of national and international policies and frameworks for socio-cultural and multi-sectoral project implementation in complex emergencies. I have independently implemented various complex programs and projects on behalf of donor organizations in different regions of Afghanistan. I have played a key role in establishing partnerships with like-minded national and international organizations. As a proactive leader and team player, I have led hundreds of employees, empowering them to take ownership and providing coaching, training, and mentoring to build cohesive teams that work together to achieve individual targets and project objectives.In terms of education, I hold a bachelor's degree in English Literature from India and am currently pursuing a master's degree in Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management from a renowned university. Additionally, I have several diplomas in climate change impacts, management, and related programs.I am an officially recognized delegate to the United Nations Climate Change International Conferences, having attended COP27, SBI 58, and COP28. I am officially invited to COP29 and COP16 in 2024. During these conferences, I have organized and participated in several international events and advocacy sessions.My combination of education and professional experience has equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively lead and implement small and large-scale projects worldwide.
