1. Supervises the preparation of purchase orders.2. Reviews the productivity report with each subordinate and submits recommendations to the Department Head.3. Ensures that requisitions have the necessary information required for purchase. Coordinates with user departments to obtain any omitted/additional information required for their needed supplies/equipment4. Verifies specifications, quantities ordered and delivery dates requested, after P.O.s inputting prior to approval.5. Facilitates information requests regarding the status of all requisitions to user departments and ensures that the system information is updated on a daily basis.6. Ensures with subordinates up-to-date information regarding direct and outstanding Purchase Orders and correspondences with subordinates.7. Ensures that products and supplies comply with boycott provisions.8. Maintains effective relationships with actual and potential sources of supply in order to compile information on availability of goods and services, their quality and price, and the reliability of vendors.9. Ensures the completion of all Technical Evaluations prior to processing of P.O.s.10. Assures the timely segregation, distribution and confirmation of P.O.s.11. Reviews the need to issue Purchase Change Order.12. Determines best vendor in conformance with Hospital policy.13. Assists and rotates workload among subordinates.14. Evaluates performances of subordinates. Trains and orients new subordinates.15. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.16. Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as applicable.17. Performs other related duties as assigned.
