• Engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and in preparing items for shipment.• Proactively communicate with clients and rectify their service issues.• Liaise with all government departments to insure a proper and safe transportation of the US Army equipment’s in the Jordanian lands.• Calculates estimated costs associated with the shipping/delivery function and recommends appropriate alternatives• Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.• Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.• Determines space requirements and position of shipment in containers and trucks and lays out position of shipment.• Determines routing and legal load limits of trucks according to established schedules and weight limits of states.• Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications. Seals loaded containers and truck doors.• Develop and maintain systems and procedures to ensure quality of customer service, inventory accuracy, optimization of storage space, and on-time delivery.• Works closely with providers to assure efficient and effective execution of defined processes and goods transportation.• Coordinates with customers to ensure desired logistics objectives, priorities, and Schedules are met and communicated to management.• Building strong relationships with existing customers.• On-site supervision and operation for land shipped cargo, through being present to check the delivered cargo’s quality, quantity and classification.
