As a Lead Counselor & Staff Administrator, I was responsible for collaborating with 3 other leads in overseeing a team of 30 camp counselors and more than 20 rotating volunteers to effectively manage a summer camp program accommodating an enrollment of approximately 220 students during the months of June and July. My primary focus included logistical coordination of the camp and also included assisting in curriculum development for students ranging from ages 5 to 12.In addition, my role encompassed critical responsibilities surrounding the operations of the program, including safety and security planning, contingency management, implementation of attendance and dismissal protocols, as well as overall logistical coordination between the administration of the Islamic Center of Frisco and the camp staff.

As a student in the Frisco ISD Career and Technical Education Center Health Sciences program, I had the opportunity to receive a Certified Nursing Assistant certification during my junior year of high school. With this certification, I was able to gain experience at school-arranged clinical sites in my area, ranging from major hospitals to local clinics and nursing homes.With over 200 clinical hours in major health systems in the DFW area, including Baylor Scott and White and Texas Health Resources, I have gained experience in many areas, including the emergency department, medical-surgical units, pre and post-operative units, urgent care facilities, pathology, respiratory therapy, and radiology.As a high school senior, I was in the Practicum in Health Science class as a Patient Care Technician student (PCT). In this course, I gained classroom and practical experience in electrocardiograms and phlebotomy. I also earned a CPCT-A national-level certification in April 2022.

As a tutor at Gideon, I was responsible for instructing students ranging from ages 4 to 14 years, utilizing the Gideon curriculum for mathematics, reading, writing, and comprehension. The typical student-to-teacher ratio at my center was 3:1 with students in a virtual, hybrid, or face-to-face environment. As a tutor, I was responsible for grading assignments to record progress and assess mastery, which is important for finding areas where a student might need additional intervention. Under the guidance of my superiors, I was also able to assist students with learning disabilities such as autism, dyslexia, and ADHD.
