• Spearheading investigations into alternatives for traditional & two-factor authentication (2FA) models using Electroencephalography (EEG) in BCIs.• Working on a proposal for a neural network model for BCI authentication leveraging the P300 component of Event-Related Potentials (ERPs) and Steady-State Visually Evoked Potentials (SSVEPS) that can predict the sequence and timestamps of targeted and non-targeted visual events.• Developed an EEG signal-based authentication model capable of user identification based on a person’s neural response to an audio stimulus utilizing features extracted using Band Power (BP) with Power Spectral Density (PSD) and a Feed-Forward Neural Network (FFNN) with a model accuracy of 96% and an average user recognition rate of 89%. Tested using a React.js app with a Java Spring boot server deployed to AWS for advanced data and model analysis.• Published and presented a paper titled “EEG Signal-Based Authentication: A Performance Evaluation of Feature Extraction and Classification Techniques,” documenting the findings and research of our audio-based person identification model at the 2023 IEEE International Conference on Big Data held in Sorrento, Italy, that evaluates the use of various feature extraction methods such as BP with PSD, Statistical Analysis, Wavelet Analysis & Shannon Entropy in conjunction with popular classification models such as SVMs, kNNs, Random Forest, XGBoost & Multilayer Perceptron’s (MLPs).
