As Media Consultant, I am responsible to provide professional, technical and institutional support required to strengthen the communications and PR aspects of Independent Project Reporting [IPR] as integral component of the FATA Development Program [FDP] by providing guidance to the student reporters and MTAs and support to the coordinator, besides serving as a mediator and facilitator in the project’s implementation. I am also supposed to follow the media scene especially when issues arise that are relevant to IPR objectives and project implementation policy.I have developed curriculum of TV Journalism course taught at University of Peshawar as part of a 3-month IPR Certificate Course on Development Journalism; am teaching the same course for more than a year. I head TV section of the Independent Project Reporting [IPR].

As visiting faculty at AWKUM, I teach TV Journalism in MA and BS programs at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. The subject I teach include TV Reporting, Videography, TV Media Ethics Advance, Mobile Journalism [MOJO] etc. I am the one who developed curricula for all these courses and these were duly approved by the varsity's board of studies.

Geo News is the most popular Urdu language news TV channel of Pakistan and I worked as Bureau Chief at its Peshawar Bureau.Being head of the bureau I was responsible for supervising the work of a team of about 50-plus people, including producers, reporters, camerapersons and researchers and more than a dozen correspondents in other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the adjoining tribal areas. Peshawar Bureau covers events ranging from political, security, economy and entertainment to sports and culture etc., while my team also produces special packages/reports on a range of issues. Correspondents in other district and tribal agencies look after their respective areas. As Bureau Chief I was supposed to plan and assign different tasks/stories to my team, come up with ideas/concepts, monitor their field work on all the stages, give a final approval to scripts, and yet another final nod to reports and routine stories. . Besides journalistic work, I also headed other departments in the bureau vis-à-vis administration, HR, Technical, Archive, Satellite and IT and Telecom etc.

Serving as Report at Peshawar Bureau of the Pakistan’s largest circulated English newspaper daily The News, I was responsible for attending events and happenings and filing stories (in English) on the same, besides doing many investigative stories. Many of the stories, investigative and analytical pieces on a wide range of issues, appeared with my name in the newspaper and its weekly magazines.Also translate handouts and releases from different government and non-government organizations into English and make news stories from them.Visited Afghanistan to cover war and political developments there.

Serving as Report at Peshawar Bureau of daily Pakistan Observer, I was responsible for filing reports on the events I used to be assigned. Most of the stories, investigative and analytical pieces on a wide range of issues, appeared with my name in the newspaper .
