About Abdullah Khan

Currently, the Managing Director leading the Global Markets APAC business for First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and responsible for delivering the APAC Global Markets strategy. As a member of the Global Markets Executive Committee, I lead a team of senior Global Markets professionals across the APAC network. I'm also responsible for the delivery and oversight of the governance, regulatory, and compliance framework for APAC Global Markets, as well as a member of the Singapore Exco Management Team.I began my Financial Services career 28 years ago in a variety of roles covering retail, commercial and institutional banking and joining Global Markets 23 years ago.Through my leadership, I'm responsible for cross-asset Financial Institution and Corporate Sales, Trading, and Liquidity Management businesses. My leadership has cultivated high-performance cultures in businesses I've led over the years.Prior to joining FAB, I was with Westpac Banking Corporation (Westpac) across Australia and Asia, where I held the most recent position as Co-Head of Financial Markets & Head of Corporate Solutions, Asia. My leadership credentials extended to representing Westpac as a board member on Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA). I hold an MBA and a Graduate Diploma in Management from the Australian Institute of Business and am an Australian citizen and Singapore Permanent Resident.
