As a Fiber Technician at DSM, in addition to operating and maintaining machines used in the production of fibers, I was responsible for monitoring the gauges on the oven used to cook the fiber. This also involved testing the gauges for hazardous contaminants in the air. I became a certified monitor for confined space operators and was also responsible for cleaning the ovens which required being able to work in extremely hot temperatures upwards of 750-800 degrees.
