From a young age I was exposed to the legal world which shaped me to think in a logical way. The exposure hence led me to develop interpersonal skills and learn to work in a team. With this, emotional intelligence had to present itself, as when one works in a team, emotional intelligence does come into play. In school I was known for voicing what I believe in, and I believe that this will assist me in my legal career as I won’t waiver from the law. In grade 11 I was put into the school SRC (student representative council) where I assisted in many school related affairs and assisting students in a role of leadership and representation. I am a final year law student at the University of Witwatersrand. I am part of the MSA and the SRC Legal Sub Committee (where i represent students who are faced with disciplinary hearings) and also the Gender Equity Office. I am proficient in research, problem solving, speaking, debating and i have a very good work ethic. Proof of this is that I passed my BALaw with distinction. I am extroverted and I have never had a problem with speaking to anyone and I am very flexible and strategic when faced with a problem. Also, i am very confident, charismatic, and I love helping people resolve their problems. I am able to work in a team as I am dynamic enough to understand different people and always give an aura of comfort. As I understand that life is a journey that involves continuos learning, I always try to learn and make myself more knowledgeable and become more proficient and learn from those who are more informed.
