My role and Responsibilities include the following: Planning, executing, performing and finalization of audits/assignments in accordance with the International Standards on Auditing (ISA), IFRS, and Deloitte Audit Methodologies. Obtaining a thorough understanding of the nature of the client's business, the business, and the regulatory environment in which it operates. Conducting initial planning meetings with clients to understand & co-develop expectations and design audit strategies in consultation with the Engagement Partner, after assessing the underlying audit risks in the light of the assessment of the client's overall control environment. Maintaining a healthy working relationship with clients being a key liaison for them, whilst keeping line manager firm well-informed of all the observations & progress and resolving managerial review points. Leading fieldwork and completing jobs within set deadlines without compromising the quality of work. Couching and managing junior team members. Assisting engagement manager(s) and partner(s) in identifying key risks assessment in the business area under review and reviewing the controls in place to mitigate those risks. Applying necessary audit procedures primarily including analytical reviews, inquiries with the clients' personnel, the performance of walkthroughs, physical inspection, circularizing confirmations, and recalculating the mathematical accuracy of documents and records. Assessment of the operating effectiveness of internal controls by testing key controls over the accounting and business processes as well as performed detailed testing of significant account balances and transactions. Ensure that entity's financial statements are prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and are in compliance with the local laws & regulations. Assisting engagement manager(s) and engagement partner(s) in the preparation of quality deliverables.
