Women Economic Empowerment-Rural Development Project (WEE-RDP) was a flagship national initiative of the Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GoIRA) and part of the Sustainable Economy Growth pillar of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation & Development (MRRD), which intends to increase social and economic empowerment of rural poor women in selected communities during a five-year project.Some of my main responsibilities as a Reporting Specialist along with additional Communication duties were: • Support to formulation & implementation of communications, advocacy strategies and support to business development • Ensuring that information & data from field(s) is captured, documented, analyzed and reported according to annual work plans and log-frame in a qualitative, quantitative, results-based, and timely manner; • Development and timely submission of clear & concise monthly, quarterly, biannual & annual reports & power-point presentations for various meetings, workshops, conferences, including the Project Board meeting & donor briefing & marketing material for raising awareness & press releases.• Collaboration with field project officers on the preparation of annual work plans, log frames, M&E plans at the field level. • Provide strategic advice on communications and public relations to the senior management;• Oversee and lead the process of producing outreach materials, e.g. brochures, fact sheets, newsletter and case studies, with a lead role in writing texts; and ensure that all communications materials meet the quality requirements of the program• Coordinate the editing, design, layout, translations, printing, etc. of social media pages and documents as required.
