Driver is an AI dash cam and road safety app that allows users to record their trips while taking advantage of built-in computer vision and telematics-based driver assistance features. I have contributed to the following functionalities of the Driver app:• Develop deep learning model for object detection to enable the Driver app to capture key objects on the road (such as car, pedestrian, etc.) and provide automated safety recommendations including forward collision warnings.• Build optical character recognition (OCR) model to read speed limit from speed limit signs for mapping and calculating user’s ‘Driver Score’ purposes. • Combine AI and statistical techniques to build distance calculation model to estimate distance of various objects from the ego vehicle.• Use computer vision to detect lane lines on the road and distinguish in-lane objects from the rest.• Build machine learning classification models to group various objects on the road such as traffic signs and emergency vehicles.• Use different tools and platforms such as AWS, GCP, Weights & Biases, and Datadog to store, monitor and organize large amounts of structured and unstructured datasets.• Conduct research and development (R&D) to introduce new features and refine existing implementations, ensuring continuous improvement of the product.

From obtaining data to cleaning it, performing exploratory data analysis, building models and evaluating them, and presenting the results (i.e. data storytelling), I was responsible for carrying out end-to-end execution of the data science pipeline for the following projects:• Credit scoring appBuilt supervised and unsupervised machine learning models including regression and clustering to accurately determine the creditworthiness of users.• AI golf appUsed predictive analytics for assigning course difficulty ratings and building churn prediction models.• RetailBuilt sales forecasting models including time series analysis to help predict sales for a multinational retail corporation.
