Equity Research Analyst
CurrentAs an equity analyst on the Events-Driven team, I cover publicly traded equities, primarily in the US technology sector. Providing sell-side equity research to large cap hedge fund portfolio managers. For our clients, we produce tailored equity research by synthesising market research on the economic environment, industry trends, competitor dynamics, and product momentum delivering actionable insights to facilitate the investment decision-making process for portfolio managers.Coverage of equities across the technology sector, encompassing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) companies, Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) providers, cybersecurity vendors, and hardware OEMs. SaaS tickers include CRM, HR, creative design and CAD/CAM software. Cyber tickers include leading endpoint, hardware, network security as well as IAM (Identity Access Management) vendors.I have contributed to and prepared research reports, outlining the investment thesis, building top-line revenue growth rate forecasts, and determining investment ratings (buy/hold/sell) for equities across the technology sector. Contributing to the drafting, and preparation of equity research reports for publication on cloud providers, observability platforms, and cybersecurity vendors respectively. Published thematic industry reports on a quarterly basis, covering trends in Generative AI, interviewing senior executives (CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and CISOs).I have aggregated equity research datapoints in Excel, and identified underlying drivers and key assumptions of revenue forecasts, for use as inputs in research reports and eventual use in financial operating models by portfolio managers in hedge funds.I have led 13 projects across cloud providers, SaaS, UCaaS, cyber and hardware OEMs, showing project leadership experience. As a team player, I have participated in projects led by other analysts for tickers on a quarterly basis.
