Head of agency responsible for the overall management of the agency and all aspects of the agency’s operations. This primarily involves the supervision and coordination of director of programs, director of administration and director of resource mobilization and research of all three countries in horn of Africa, namely Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia. • teaches variety of courses in Peace and Conflict Studies, Human rights, International relations and development • Teaches at undergraduate and graduate level in areas allocated by the Head of Department and reviewed from time to time by the Head of Department.• Supervises or assist with supervision of undergraduate and taught graduate (Masters) students.• Actively contributes to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.• Assists in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.• Participates and contributes in departmental and faculty seminars aimed at sharing research outcomes and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department.• Participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments.• Provides academic advises and support to students.• Partake in the administration of the department’s programmes of study and other activities as requested.• Carries out any other duties commensurate with the grade and purpose of the post.
