- Trained as an ESL teacher.- In the Fall 2022 term, under professional supervision from Sheridan College ESL Professors, strategically lesson planned for and taught drop-in adult learners a total of 8 weekly 40 min to 60 min ESL lessons to complete the practicum portion of the CELTA certification. - In the Winter 2023 term, assisted in the delivery of a registered Sheridan College ESL course to paying Sheridan students by lesson planning and teaching a total of 13 hours under the supervision and instruction of the associated professor to complete the practicum aspect of the TESL Ontario and TESL Canada certification. - Structured lessons using a range of teaching frameworks such as Test - Teach - Test (TTT), Present - Practice - Produce (PPP), and Text - Based Framework in conjunction with learning aims like grammar, reading, lexis, listening, and function to name a few.- Under close instruction and feedback from superiors, operated meticulously to better improve my teaching ability and meet the needs of learners.
