I am working on the NDC Sustainable Building Scorecard Project (NDCSBSP) in collaboration with the World Green Building Council (WGBC). This project focuses on advancing renewable energy integration in the building and construction industry, promoting energy-efficient and sustainable practices, and advocating for national-level policies that align with Nigeria's climate commitments. We engage in extensive stakeholder engagements involving representatives from government MDAs, the private sector, academia, and NGOs/CSOs across Nigeria at national and sub-national levels..Through this initiative, I contribute to developing tools and frameworks that enable the adoption of green building principles, ultimately driving sustainability in the built environment.As a pilot project in Nigeria and four other countries globally, this initiative will go on to serve as a blueprint for building sustainability worldwide.

I collaborate on projects that drive tangible outcomes, preparing me to address energy poverty and implement clean energy solutions in Nigeria and beyond.Through this fellowship, I am actively building capacity to empower future generations to champion green technologies and contribute to Africa’s leadership in the global energy transition.

Trained on People-Centered and Holistic Approaches to Off-Grid Electrification in Nigeria with structured learning covering an array of topics, including:- Evolution and Trends in the Nigerian Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) Sector-Community-Based Approaches to DRE Project Design and Implementation- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) for DRE projects- Project Planning Tools, Resources and Networks (Demand, Supply and Financial Assessment Tools)- Holistic Project Monitoring and GovernanceTrained with User demand-assessment tools from People Sun Project, toolbox from the communities of practice (CP Toolbox) and Financial Assessment Tool for Electrification (FATE) to estimate the energy demand of any area, integrate local needs optimally into the off-grid solutions and find the best financing option for any DRE project

I actively engaged with complex design concepts, transforming them into practical applications that aligned with client requirements. In addition, I contributed to project management by ensuring the successful delivery of projects to contractors and customers, overseeing seamless execution and consistently meeting stakeholders' expectations. My work supported the efficient implementation of MEP solutions, contributing to the overall success of the projects.I also trained junior trainees on AUTOCAD skills and MEP designs.

I gained proficiency in CAD designs and MATLAB programming, with a focus on AutoCAD for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) designs. I worked on building designs and electrical designs of both new and old (renovated) buildings.
