Silicon Photonics Intern
During my 3-month internship in Silicon Photonics, I worked extensively on advanced photonic systems, gaining hands-on experience in key areas such as:- Directional couplers, waveguides, and multimode interference (MMI) devices- Optimization of Mach-Zehnder Interferometers (MZI) for maximum power transfer- Conducting FEXEN's experiments using MATLAB, developed by engineers at the University of Malaga, Spain- Exploring the effective index through geometric manipulation and power optimization techniquesThis internship helped deepen my understanding of photonic systems and their potential applications in optical communication and integrated circuits. I worked under the guidance of both international and local professors, contributing to cutting-edge research in the field.
