About Abdullah Mustafa

Mr. Abdullah Mustafa, an Orator, Motivator, Trainer, Lawyer, New Venture Creation Expert, Social Entrepreneur, and Consultant, is currently Assistant Director at the Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), GIFT University, Gujranwala with a demonstrated history of working in the Entrepreneurial ecosystem. He owns a strong education professional with a degree of Executive MBA in Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship. His research focuses on entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Entrepreneurial Training. He has a BBA(Hons) in Banking and Finance and LLB in Banking and Taxation Law. Another master’s degree in Political Science and a bachelor's in Journalism & Political Science. Mr. Abdullah has obtained a Certificate in entrepreneurship and setting up new entrepreneurial ventures from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi. He has previously served at IBA Karachi i.e. one of the leading business schools in Pakistan as a Manager of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development (CED).He gives advice and talks on subjects related to Entrepreneurship, New Venture Creation, Innovation in the Startup, Technology Management, Legal Aspects, and how to manage your ventures. Abdullah is currently responsible for the Entrepreneurship teaching, Incubation services & Entrepreneurship research activities at the Center for Entrepreneurial Development and conducts entrepreneurship training and various workshops related to entrepreneurial ecosystem and incubation in the different universities and institutions of Pakistan.Abdullah is serving humanity as Director of Helping Hands Foundation. He also founded a social initiative named SAATH and delivered a “Ted Talk” in 2017. He is also representing the youth of Punjab as a Member of the Youth Provincial Assembly Punjab Since 2016. He is still associated in different capacities with many social ventures like Akhuwat, Helping Hands Foundation, Rabtt, PYR welfare organization, and Aik Watan Foundation.Abdullah has always spoken about social issues, as he wrote many columns in Daily Nawai Waqt. He has been an active part of the Public Speaking circuit since 2012 and has won numerous awards.Currently, his work is helping him pave new paths of discovery and challenges in his journey of learning.

Micro Entrepreneurship and Life Skills Training Program in Karachi, Pakistanwith collaboration of United Nations Development Program (UNDP):This Project aimed to improve the human capital profiles of Karachi’s youth by providing entrepreneurship training and mentoring to 500 vulnerable youth (300 men and 200 women) in rural and semi urban areas of Karachi. The beneficiaries of this project were the youth of Karachi who had some technical and vocational skills.4. Green Superstar Impact SME Competition: It is a part of Oxfam’s support to promising SMEs. This Competition was aimed to:• Accelerate environmental impact and create opportunities by supporting andpromoting green business ideas.• Understand the needs of SMEs in creating green businesses and adapt ourprogrammes accordingly.• Encourage the stakeholders to recognize the importance and potential of supportingand investing in ‘Green Superstar SMEs’10 SMEs were selected after evaluating presentations of 19 SMEs. PKR 400,000 was given to all 10 winner.5. Development of Training Modules under National Business Development Program for SMEs for Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA).

    Looking after the Empower Youth for Work (EYW) Project from Sept 2019 till Sept 2021 in which following Activities was done: 1. Business Development Support to SMEs of Jamshoro and Layyah: Business Development Support to 50 SMEs of Jamshoro and Layyah districts.This support included group trainings and one-on-one consultancy for the growth andsustainability of their businesses. More than 400 new job opportunities have been created bythese SMEs which include 100 opportunities for females.2. Startup Competitions Program: Conducted Startup Competitions Program in 5cities i.e Karachi, Jamshoro, Layyah, Lahore, and Islamabad. More than 600 applications were received. 285 startups were shortlisted for initial 2- days training program and out of these 285, 116 startups made it to the next stages of extensive training program and final competitions. After receiving 50-hours training, final pitching sessions were organised and the startups were given seed money to invest in their startups for growth.3. Trainings of Inclusive Business Standards:Team developed Inclusive Business Standards Booklet for Pakistani SMEs. Did the trainings of these standards in Jamshoro, Layyah, Lahore and Islamabad and 133 CEOs/Founders of SMEs/Startups have participated in these workshops.4.Faculty Development Workshop: Organised 2-day faculty development workshop at Islamabad. Around 65 Deans, Directors from 11 universities attended the workshop.5. Entrepreneurship Course in Islamabad : Conducted Entrepreneurship course for the students of Quaid-e- Azam University, Islamabad. Around 50 students of QAU attended the course.6. International Youth & Women’s Day: Celebrated the International Youth Dayand International Women's Day during the EYW project. The objective of theseevents was to acknowledge the contribution of youth & women in our society.
