Conducted two 1.5 year long research projects under the supervision of Professor Talal Rahwan, Mayada Oudah and Marcin Waniek as part of the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab at NYUAD.-Revisiting the uncanny valley phenomenon using generative adversarial networks in an attempt to prove that deep learning techniques can overcome the valley. We further go on to investigate whether the uncanny valley exists in human-bot cooperation through a series of behavioural games such as the Prisoner's Dilemma - Investigating the efficacy of human beings and artificial agents in detecting and obfuscating private data. We specifically focus on three domains: gender of an author from a piece of text, geolocation from an album of images, and social links from network graphs.Results published in Nature Scientific Reports

Worked on the research and development of holistic designs and analysis benchmark for lightweight cryptographic (LWC) algorithms in C based software platform and on FPGA circuits. This includes performing analysis through potential side channels cryptanalytic techniques. -Worked on a software implementation of the Saturnin-Short and FeW lightweight ciphers-Worked on cryptanalysis of the Saturnin-Short cipher, including linear, differential and impossible differential attacks.
