Working on a document workflow application in the underwriting technology team. My role involves working in an agile team to handle business requests for application changes, prioritizing changes for business users. Representing changes at the Change Application Board and ensuring changes are completed to a high standard. My work involves writing UAT test scripts and arranging business users for UAT. Other responsibilities include working closely with the Product Owner to manage the application DR plan to ensure DR certification according to regulatory requirements. I work in with other developers using tools such as JIRA to manage workloads and ServiceNow to manage Incidents and changes using the ITIL framework. I also get involved with application monitoring and have created dashboards for monitoring application availability.

Worked on the Market Axess application, this involves processing user requests for FIX Messages and trouble shooting application issues. Also managing application changes, prioritizing changes according to customer needs. This role also involves using tools such as JIRA to create tickets for developer investigation and escalation. Also used ORACLE SQL developer for creating reports and querying application data for internal teams.

Currently working in Global Transaction Banking on a number of different applications. My role involves working on messaging applications where I have developed knowledge of IBM MQ as I have had to set up new channels and troubleshoot connectivity issues. I also work on payment systems with file transfers using FTP to transfer payment files. I manage the web front end using Java, and SQL My other tasks have included working with Control M to automate jobs running on Windows servers. I monitor tickets in Service Now, my role involves training L2 staff, I am the escalation point for high priority tickets, representing application changes at cab, working with application vendors and disaster recovery planning.

I have joined the application operations team at S&P Global Platts responsible for maintaining applications on the S&P Platts platform. I work with editorial applications publishing content through Mark Logic, commodities pricing applications and trading platforms. I work in the Data Collections team at the Bank of England which involves supporting a number of different data collection systems. This has included supporting the new Solvency II platform as well as a data collection website and the Statistics section of Bank of England website. I work on the maintenance of these systems carrying out software releases, working with vendors on system upgrades and application changes. My role involves working with business users and resolving any application issues through monitoring support tickets on a ticketing system. I also manage problem records, represent application changes at change board meetings and report system availability at regular service review meetings. As part of my role I have undertaken the ISTQB Foundation Certification in testing.

I am responsible for looking after IT systems at Bank of England, this currently includes Microsoft SharePoint platforms, Autonomy search tools, Office 2007 and the intranet. I help users to adopt these systems and use them effectively. My other tasks consist of aiding with upgrades to these applications, which involves User Acceptance Testing and Systems Testing. My role includes requirements gathering and analysis, holding focus groups and working with non technical people across the bank.

While working at HP I worked in the Enterprise Services department responsible for SharePoint projects across customer sites. I was on the Graduate scheme and was involved with many infrastructure projects. This included working with VMware ESXi to virtualise Windows servers. I also worked with Norton Ghost to create images of different machine builds to be deployed on different laptops. My other tasks involved gathering requirements for SharePoint projects and testing applications for new Windows 7 build machines. I took the lead on a virtualisation project where I wrote technical scoping documents to virtualise a domain using VMware, While working on this project I worked with Windows server 2003 and 2008, I also configured the IIS in Windows Server 2008 and helped to support Windows systems. I was responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of this project.

I worked in the Online Channels team at Lloyds TSB within Group IT. I was in charge of certain websites on the Group IT section of the Lloyds TSB intranet. I was also involved with integrating Microsoft SharePoint 2007 into Group IT. My main involvement was to migrate current websites to SharePoint 2007. I was trained by Learning Tree International on SharePoint Custom Applications and also undertook training in SharePoint 2003. I learnt to link Infopath forms to SharePoint 2007 and also link to databases in SharePoint 2007. I was also introduced to SharePoint designer and trained to use the advanced features of SharePoint designer. I was involved with creating templates and editing master pages. Other work involved adapting the look and feel of SharePoint websites. I worked with a number of teams developing a number of websites. Through the experience I developed very good attention to detail skills and effective stakeholder management skills. I also developed very good team working and communication skills through working with my team to meet deadlines and complete projects.

This was a customer facing role at Thorpe Park, working on the rides batching people through the rides and being first point of contact for customers to the park.
