• In sole charge of a property portfolio consisting of an apartment block and three large commercial properties• Communicating with tenants regarding lease negotiations, rent payments and any other concerns they may have• Arranging for maintenance work when needed to maintain high standards of the properties and ensure they meet relevant health and safety standards• Employing workers to maintain the hygiene standards of the properties• Liaising with estate agents and screening potential tenants• Liaising with solicitors regarding legal documents relating to the properties• Utilising social media marketing spaces alongside word of mouth and networking techniques typically used in Libyan property markets• Developed use of Arabic language and Libyan customs in commercial and personal environments

For this role I was employed as an English Second Language Teacher for a summer school programme for children aged 5-12. My responsibilities included creating lesson plans for students of varying English language strengths to progress and improve their abilities over the course of 12 weeks.I had to use my creativity to engage the students in different ways, including outdoor sessions and storytelling. As a teacher, I also had a pastoral duty of care when students had personal problems they wanted to discuss and many students found me to be a warm and comforting presence around the school. I enjoyed this part of the role as I am very passionate about mentoring and helping young people in difficult situations such as the one in Benghazi at the time.
