I work alongside civil engineers, structural engineers, architects, and surveyors to use my technical skills to make sure that building sites are fit for purpose. My duties involve planning, marking out, and levelling construction sites before any building work takes place. I am also responsible for the materials which are used onsite, and I use my expert knowledge of construction materials and their commercial knowhow to negotiate deals with suppliers. This plays a seriously important role in making sure that building projects are as cost effective as possible. On top of this, I also manage the site facilities, liaise with third party stakeholders to keep them updated on the progress of the construction project, and supervise construction workers on a daily basis.

I spearheaded completion of construction projects by planning, organizing, and controlling projects; completing quality inspections; supervising sub-contractors and staff. coordinating construction projects between many different contributors. The Heinrich Böll Stiftung Nigeria (hbs) and ARCTIC INFRASTRUCTURE (AI), A Non Governmental Organization, the Lagos Development Envision Lab (LAGDEL) with the intent to build the capacity of the youth stakeholders in the city to understand the dynamics and resilience of the low-income communities with a focus on housing, flooding, land accessibility, urban planning, and general infrastructure. The resulting "Flood Resilience Action and Finance Plan" for Idi Ori Community provides the priority projects for implementation within the community. It also identifies the responsibilities and funding actors for these projects. I and my partner focused on the Clearing and upgrading of the Baale Okoya Channel (System 5B-1), the Green Embankment on the side of the canal, the proposal and modeling of an open channel (secondary drainage), and the Reconstruction of the water point.• I Conducted a Reconnaissance survey to solve the community problem• Designed a water distribution point for the community projecting a population of 5000people• Propose a solution to fight the issues facing the community (design of lined canal and secondary channel)• Rehabilitation of existing water point• Modeled to interact with the client on a proposed solution using SketchUp, and AutoCAD 2D• I Prepared action plans for every invitation to the community

As a Quality Control Engineer, I ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and quality standards by interpreting job contracts, troubleshooting issues, and monitoring procedures. I generate method statements and develop load testing sequences, maintain job prequalification requirements, and design QA/QC forms. I examine and quantify bar bending schedules, prepare quality control charts, and run concrete mix trials. Additionally, I evaluate site reports, respond to correspondences, and double-check equipment certificates before deployment. I am a collaborative team player, who boosts production efficiency and improves quality through participation in team-based functions.
