As a QA Engineer for Sky, I am responsible for testing mobile applications on various platforms, including Android, iOS, and Chromecast. My testing efforts have spanned multiple regions, including the UK, Europe, Africa, and the United States. My main objectives include.- Creating test cases and scenarios based on project requirements and specifications- Execute manual tests across Android and iOS and document test results on Test Rail/Jira- Identify and track defects on Jira/Test Rail, and providing detailed feedback to developers- Identify and assess potential risks to the mobile software application and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members, sharing best practices, knowledge, and expertise.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that testing activities are aligned with project goals and timelines.- Participation in estimation of testing efforts

As a Test Analyst my duties are to provide technology and expertise to the Sky Business to test the content and advertising lifecycle for Sky Broadcasting Support System and Third Party Applications.My main objectives include;- Test, deliver and operate Software solutions- Collaborating with development teams to identify the testing requirement. - Can thoroughly test with and without the use of Scripts- Reporting software defects to a high level of understanding- Co-ordination and scheduling of test executions across various platforms which included joint integration/regression testing with BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5- Involved in the design of test scenarios to help conduct with writing Automated Tests- Intermediate understanding of reading and writing Visual Basic on UFT/QTP – this included writing XML test cases which helped support the reporting on Quality Center- Conducting automated tests across a variety of platforms (IE-11 & Google Chrome) and internal Broadcasting Scheduling System- Experience with Content Management System, Jira, Test Rail, UFT/QTP and using Quality Centre

As a Platform Controller my duties are to provide first line support for the Sky platform 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I am responsible for monitoring and control of the Sky’s broadcast distribution platforms (VOD DTH, DTT, IP, mobile etc). My main objective was to ensure effective operation of the diverse range of systems and timely detection and resolution of faults are in place in order to achieve the highest possible service availability for our customers. My main speciality was using UNIX and Microsoft Access to identify faults and queries which were on the Video On Demand and Digital platform.

My duties and responsibilities were to ensure that Sky Anytime + thumbnails, marketing messages and those of third parties are updated with excellent attention to detail and accuracy, as well as updating and creating catalogue structures as requested by the Anytime + team and 3rd party providers.I also took the responsibility of testing new catalogue structures in the test lab to ensure that no errors are found and compatible and compliant to the client’s requirements, this involved launching and scheduling these catalogue structures to go Live to both the Trial and paying customers as requested by the project manager.This involved creating and modifying rules in Microsoft Excel to ensure that locations of assets are populated into the correct location on the LIVE platform, as well as setting the correct products and pricing for each channel.
