Currently working on my bachelor's degree in business with an operations management certificate. After serving five years active duty in the United States Marine Corps (2010-2015) as a helicopter mechanic, I have continued to work for the DoD as a civilian. I have worked a variety of different position from aircraft mechanic to diesel engine mechanic. Currently I am the Wage Lead on a power turbine generator asset. I control all associated documents for all assets coming in and going out. I prepare daily priorities, track parts and support equipment. I also conduct safety briefs, and track personnel time on documents. Recently I have also been assigned two additional work loads, one is a mobile diesel generator and the other is a brand-new start up workload that I have been leading the maintenance on for almost a year. The startup workload has presented itself with a variety of new and exciting things for me to learn. I meet with and discuss different work constraints with all types of engineers, program managers, directors, and equipment specialists. I love problem solving and thinking outside the box and this new workload has presented me with that.
