• Authored a comprehensive handbook, to be used as a training tool for the production staff. This handbook detailed the steps in processing tear sheet corrections from typesetting through proofing approval to releasing electronic files to the printer. This achieved cost savings and saved valuable processing time.• Prepared complex spreadsheets for tracking textbook text corrections, photo and art replacements for Math, Social Studies, Science and Reading. By doing so enabled corrections to be made promptly, resulting in books being printed ahead of schedule.• Conducted weekly meetings with editorial, design and manufacturing to review the status of current programs. This helped to identify problem areas early, saving additional proof cycles and reducing costs.• Completed K-6 student edition, teacher edition and various workbooks ahead of schedule.• Worked closely with various departments including editorial in helping them to concentrate only on serious text changes, with manufacturing in establishing printing dates and with the textbook printers in providing them with the proper file format preparation. These efforts significantly lowered the production and printing costs by 20% in an annual budget exceeding one million dollars.
