Abram I. Moore is a partner in the Chicago office of Venable LLP, whose practice is focused on the resolution of international and domestic complex commercial disputes. Mr. Moore has successfully litigated cases in state and federal courts across the United States. He has also achieved excellent results representing clients in international arbitration proceedings as well as in domestic arbitration and mediation and assisting clients with litigation pending before courts in the Middle East.Mr. Moore has represented national banks, healthcare organizations, founders of cryptocurrency companies, construction companies, film production companies and other clients. He has helped these clients favorably resolve all manner of disputes, including breach of sales and distribution agreements and other commercial contracts, disputes arising from the purchase and sale of businesses, non-competition and unfair trade practice disputes, allegations of commercial fraud, and intra-corporate conflicts. In addition to commercial disputes, Mr. Moore has significant experience representing individual clients relating to disputes over cryopreserved pre-embryos. Mr. Moore was counsel in a groundbreaking and highly-publicized case in Illinois on the subject, and convinced the Illinois Appellate Court to adopt his client’s preferred legal standard. He has since counseled clients across the US regarding their rights in such disputes and been interviewed by publications from around the world on the subject.
